CLASSICAL CASTS
Made in Jesmonite for the London Atelier of Representational Art.
A multi-piece silicon skin mould was made of each classical sculpture and then a cast was made from the mould in Jesmonite backed up with fibreglass matting.
The London Atelier of Representational Art use these casts to create extremely accurate drawings by mounting them in black boxes and lighting them to give visual contrast. They are also used as a teaching aid for figurative art and the study of human anatomy.
