The eye series - Myung Nam An

I was commissioned by London based gallery ‘Cube’ to make resin reproductions of original ceramic sculptures made by South Korean artist/ceramicist Myung Nam An

These reproductions were displayed on the walls and ceilings of the cruise ship liner ‘Odyssey of the Seas’

Each design was moulded in silicon and cast into polyurethane resin. The tops of some of the eyes were chrome sprayed with a silver nitrate coating to give a superior mirror finish. The details were then hand painted in enamel.
